We live in a time of great change, where we are all becoming more connected, connectedness, and connectedness.
In recent history, we’ve all experienced a change in social media. We see news stories, see hashtags, see memes, go viral. It’s gotten so that, when I say “social media,” I do not mean things like Twitter or Facebook, but instead the things that happen at large gatherings and through networks of friends.
We are all now connected in some way.
This change is something that has drastically changed the way in which we are able to connect with others. For instance, I can call up people I know all over the world to get ahold of me or take out a message on Facebook. I can email someone and say, “hey, it’s me. I need you to know I’m thinking of calling you.” I can do all of these things when I was stuck in the past.
It’s not just social media that has changed how we connect, it’s also the technology that is helping us to connect. We’re all connected through the Internet. We have computers and servers all over the world. I know that this is true because my laptop is just down the hall from my computer. I can access it and use it whenever I want.
I could go on and on, but I think you get the point. Facebook, Twitter, and other sites are like the Internet. They’re all connected to each other. We’re all living in a web-like network of connected devices. It’s not just computers and smartphones either. We have a lot of gadgets and devices in our homes. The phone is a very good example of what I’m talking about.
Of course, you could argue that the phone is a bad example because its a digital device. But the fact is that the phone is a very good example of a human-powered device. We use it, but we are connected to it, and our actions affect each other. Just think of the many examples we could add to that list.
Endpoint.com is a service that helps companies communicate with each other in a very simple way. Imagine a giant screen, maybe a really big one, that’s always on, just like a cell phone, but it’s in a really quiet room and is always on. And a button on the screen that you push when you want to send something to someone else. And once you do that, you go to the exact same place where people can click to send you something else.
The list of many other examples in this series is one that’s been on my mind more than it’s been shown. For example, there’s a link from the article about the same thing.
The reason for this series has been to show that if you’re in a room that has someone else in it, there are links that will take you to places in the same room, or to places in other rooms. If you’re in a room where someone in the room knows you, they are going to be able to access what you’re trying to send them by using a link.
